Natasha's favourite natural body + hair care products

Body Wash / Soap

JOSH ROSEBROOK Biome Body Cleanse – This is a super mild probiotic body wash that cleanses and softens skin, never drying or stripping. It has a really nice mousse-like lathering texture, light fresh scent, and rinses off clean. Suitable for all skin types, and especially great for sensitive, mature or dry skin.

ANNMARIE SKIN CARE Rosemary Peppermint Hand & Body Wash – A great daily cleanser, this gel body wash refreshes skin as it cleanses. For a deeper, polishing cleanse, try mixing it with Annmarie Kaolin Micro Exfoliant – together they make an invigorating body scrub treatment that thoroughly cleanses as it sloughs off buildup and debris.

LIVING LIBATIONS Nettle Massage Mitt and LEAHLANI Pamplemousse Tropical Enzyme Cleansing Oil – I have really dry skin and this is the best body cleanser I’ve ever used. In the shower, dampen the Living Libations Nettle Massage Mitt with water and apply 3-5 pumps of Leahlani Pamplemousse Cleansing Oil onto the mitt. Massage dampened skin with the mitt (everywhere but your face), and rinse. The mitt and oil will loosen and exfoliate buildup and debris off the surface of your skin, revealing super soft, supple skin. I find this combo the best because Leahlani’s Cleansing Oil rinses off with water, so it doesn’t leave much of an oily residue in your shower, and Living Libation exfoliating mitt is super easy to use and thoroughly exfoliates and cleanses skin.

KAIA NATURALS Kojic Acid Brightening Bar – Got dark spot pigmentation on your body (like on your underarms, elbows, knees, inner thighs, buttocks, or hands), or acne marks on your chest or back? This kojic acid soap makes a huge difference fading dark patches, sun spots, age spots, and acne marks. In the shower, just apply the lathering soap anywhere you want to treat, leave on for 30 seconds and rinse off. Do it daily and overtime you’ll see those dark spots lighten and fade away.

Body Scrubs & Dry Skin Brushing

BKIND Sea Salt & Eucalyptus Moisturizing Body Scrub – This is the best body scrub I’ve ever used. If you have dry, flaky, or mature skin; this scrub softens, firms, and rejuvenates skin instantly. It’s extremely nourishing, and the exfoliating grains have the most perfect fine texture to truly polish your skin. There is also BKIND Coffee & Peppermint Moisturizing Body Scrub which works just as great, but a better choice for bodies prone to cellulite, water retention/puffiness and stagnation.

LIVING LIBATIONS Verve Tonic – If you’re a big fan of dry skin brushing, you need to try Verve Tonic essential oil blend. Put 2-3 drops of Verve Tonic on your dry skin brush and brush your body – it will help promote increased circulation and flow. I find the Verve Tonic takes my dry skin brushing routine to a whole new level.

Body Oil & Moisturizers

INDIE LEE Whipped Body Butter – This body cream is perfection. It’s hydrating and nourishing without being heavy or greasy. A little goes a long way, easy to apply, absorbs really well, and keeps skin soft and supple.

LEAHLANI Coco Mango Coco Infusion – This is paradise in a bottle. The tropical mango scent is lasting and blissful, the body oil is light and moisturizing, instantly softening skin without any oily residue. This is my favorite on-the-go oil because of how fast it absorbs and dries down on the skin, plus the scent is an instant mood-lifter.

LIVING LIBATIONS Radiant Love Butter – This is actually an edible lubricant, but I use it as a body moisturizer. It has the most incredible cacao-citrus-vanilla scent, and the moisturizing butter is rich and nourishing (perfect for dry or flaky skin). The scent of this just takes me away to a better place, and the body butter makes skin smooth and supple. This has been a favorite of mine for many years, I just love it.

JAO BRAND Goe Oil – This is a cult favorite for a reason. This deeply moisturizes your skin. I not only use Goe Oil on my body, but on my face too! It’s so hydrating and moisturizing, and has a way of enveloping your skin with pure nourishment. If you want to take your body glow to the next level, I recommend mixing Goe Oil with Jao Brand Sungleam Illuminator, which adds an ultra-fine mineral highlight to the body oil, making your skin look silky smooth and glowing.

LIVING LIBATIONS Vanilla Best Skin Ever – I love all Living Libations Best Skin Ever oils, but for the body, Vanilla Best Skin Ever has always been my standout favorite. I just love the rich grounding vanilla scent (it’s not a sweet vanilla). The oil is silky and nourishing, fast absorbing, and leaves skin smooth and soft.

Deodorant

KAIA NATURALS Niacinamide Brightening Deodorant – This natural deodorant is designed to help fade dark spot pigmentation on underarms. I don’t have pigmentation, but I love this deodorant because it’s SO gentle, and works great preventing odor. I really like all of Kaia Naturals deodorants, I’ve been using them for years, but this one is definitely my favorite. It’s ultra gentle, barely has a scent, super effective preventing body odor, and doesn’t leave any white marks on clothes. All around great deodorant, and if you want to fade dark patches on your underarms, definitely try it.

LIVING LIBATIONS Rose Glow Underarm Charm Creme Deodorant – This is actually a powerful deodorant. I didn’t realize just how powerful it was until I tried other natural deodorants that I needed to apply several times a day to prevent odor! This you can use once a day, or even skip a day or two in-between uses. It works, extremely reliable odor protection, and the creamy moisturizing texture makes it very comfortable to use.

INDIE LEE Energize Deodorant – I like using this deodorant when I go running or exercise. The citrus eucalyptus scent is fresh and engaging, the applicator makes it super easy to apply, the deodorant is gentle, non-irritating, and I never get b.o. using it.

Perfume

LEAHLANI Kiele Essence Of Gardenia – My favorite flower is gardenia, and this perfume is all around gorgeousness. It’s fresh yet subtle, delicate and dreamy, and captures creamy gardenia at its best.

LEAHLANI Pua Lei Perfume Oil – This tropical floral perfume oil is fragrant and playful. Compared to Kiele, it has a little bit more of punch, yet still extremely feminine, sweet, and inviting.

Hair Care

INNERSENSE ORGANIC BEAUTY – I am in love with the entire Innersense Organic Beauty hair care line. Their products nourish, repair, and keep hair healthy, shiny and strong. It’s an extensive hair care line with products for every hair type, but especially great for textured, curly, dry, thick, porous or damaged hair. I use Pure Harmony Hairbath (shampoo) and Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner. My hair these days isn’t as thick or curly as it used to be (after having kids my hair texture changed dramatically from super curly ringlet hair to wavy!). This shampoo/conditioner set is perfect, it’s nourishing and conditioning while not being too rich or heavy (if you have thick coarse curly hair like I used to, go with the Hydrating Cream Hairbath (shampoo) and Hydrating Cream Conditioner).

LIVING LIBATIONS Seabuckthorn Shampoo – This shampoo really works at cleansing your hair and scalp without stripping or being too drying. It rinses out very easily, never leaves a residue. It has a light lather and a little goes a long way. The scent is light and fresh. This is a great clarifying shampoo keeping your scalp healthy and flake-free. It can be used on all hair types, but for regular use, I find it’s best for fine or medium texture hair.

INNERSENSE Detox Hair Mask and Hydrating Hair Mask – Once a week I use these two masks together to recharge my hair with more shine, volume, and life. I use the Detox Hair Mask just on my scalp and roots – this is a clarify hair mask that will dissolve buildup and oils from your scalp, while at the same time conditioning your hair and scalp. Along the lengths and tips of my hair, I apply the Hydrating Hair Mask to soften and deeply condition my hair. These masks work great together if you are prone to a flaky or oily scalp and the lengths of your hair gets dry, dull, coarse or brittle.

LIVING LIBATIONS Natural Hair Brush – This is one of my favourite products from Living Libation hair care line. This brush smooths, softens, and polishes the hair by moving the natural oils accumulating on the scalp down the lengths of the hair. I like using the brush on both wet and dry hair. On wet hair, it smooths the hair shaft which prevents your hair from becoming frizzy as it dries. Using it on dry hair, it stimulate the scalp and makes hair soft, manageable, and shiny. The brush is very dense, so it really helps exfoliate the scalp, moving build up and flakes away, and keeps the scalp healthy and clean.

JOSH ROSEBROOK Wide Paddle Hair Brush – Such a great brush. This is my no-breakage brush! The wooden bristles have a little give, and what that means they’re not too stiff, so the brush won’t pull or break hair when brushing through tangles. It’s a very gentle brush with long bristles, great for all hair types, but especially good for thick, dense hair, weak or damaged hair.

BKIND Hand Balms – Looking for a finishing product to define waves, curls and smooth frizz? BKIND Hand Balms are my ABSOLUTE favourite hair styling product (who would of thought using a balm to define and style your hair?!). But it’s the best. Unlike oils that can make hair look stringy and “oily” and attracts dirt and dust, using a dab of hand balm on dry hair will smooth frizz, add lustrous shine and define waves and curls giving your hair a more polished look. Plus it adds weightless moisture and coats the lengths of the hair which help to protect and nourish dry or damaged hair. I’ve also found that my hair doesn’t get oily or dirty as quickly as using hair oils for styling. A must try for frizzy and unruly hair!

Tooth Care

LIVING LIBATIONS Triple Mint Enamelizer Toothpaste – My number 1 favorite toothpaste. It’s brightening and whitening, strengthening, minty fresh and like all Living Libations toothpastes it thoroughly cleans teeth and mouth without being drying. I also have very sensitive teeth, and this is extremely gentle. Over the years I’ve struggled with most natural toothpastes, either they’re not cleansing enough or the opposite, very abrasive and drying. Living Libations toothpastes are the best, truly keeping your teeth smooth and clean, and gums healthy and balanced.

LIVING LIBATIONS Frankincense Fresh Sensitive Toothpaste – This is my second favorite toothpaste. This too is brightening and ultra gentle, and thoroughly cleans teeth and mouth, but isn’t as minty or whitening as the Triple Mint Toothpaste. I tend to alternate between this and the Triple Mint Toothpaste, using one in the morning and the other at night.

LIVING LIBATIONS Yogi Tooth Serum – This is made with neem, which has a strong flavor, but the whitening and soothing effect make it worth using. When I brush my teeth at night, I add one drop of the Yogi Tooth Serum to my toothpaste, and the next day my teeth are noticeably whiter and brighter.

DR TUNG’S Smart Floss – Best dental floss. It’s strong, yet soft, and doesn’t break or shred.

Sunscreen For Body

SUNTEGRITYSPORT Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 (Tinted – Unscented) – This is by far my favourite sunscreen for the body. It has a buttery texture making it super moisturizing and I like that it’s tinted so it’s fast and easy to apply and no white cast. It’s also water resistant, perfect for the beach.

I am prone to getting breakouts and rashes on my chest, so on that one area of my body, I use Suntegrity Mineral Sunscreen For Body SPF 30 (Unscented) on my chest. This sunscreen isn’t as rich as the Suntegrity Sport Sunscreen, making it more compatible with acne prone skin. In general, I find mineral/zinc-based sunscreens really help soothe and balance acne prone skin, so I use this sunscreen daily not only to protect my skin from the sun, but also to keep my skin clear and balanced. This Mineral Sunscreen For Body does have a little white cast, so best to work it into your skin and allow a few minutes for it to dry down.

UNSUN COSMETICS Hydrating Full Coverage Body Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30– If you aren’t keen about the white cast that comes with mineral zinc-based sunscreens, this sunscreen is by far the best I have found. The whiteness disappears within seconds after applying. This sunscreen is my go to when I’m going out during the day and want to look my best. It’s hydrating, absorbs quickly, no oily residues, and no dreaded white cast.
